Wardrobe & Style guide
A key part of you loving your photos is choosing the right wardrobe. But don't stress! This can be fixed with some simple pre-planning.
I have out together some helpful tips to make selecting items easy & enjoyable.
1. COORDINATE - Try starting with a colour palette. Neutral & earthy tones always photograph well. An example of some Neutral tones are beige, browns, burnt orange, cream, ivory, deep reds & yellow. Pastel tones also work well with a neutral palette if you are looking for a little bit of extra colour.
This idea is to choose 2-3 colours and coordinate pieces of everyones outfit. Try to avoid the matchy-matchy outfits and black as your main colour.
Think of colours that complement eachother & keep it simple.
2. Layers - layering elements like a hat, neckace, headband, vest or jackets can be used to help coordinate.
3. Wear clothes that are fashionable but still functional. Keep in mind the location of your shoot and remember we will be moving around.
4. Be COMFORTABLE! Comfort from your head to your toes. If you are comfortable in what you are wearing it will make the ease of forgetting about the camera even easier as you enjoy the moments with your loved ones. Consider your choice of shoes, try and steer clear of heels, themed athletic wear & bulky shoes.
5. Flowy maxy dresses & skirts always work well for women & girls. They are comfortable to move in and work great on film
6. Lastly try to avoid items with logos, words & neon colours. Avoiding these will help create a timeless memory.

Pre-Session Prep Q & A
What should I expect from my session?
As a lifestyle photographer. The approach for all my shoots is relaxed & comfortable. Meaning all we need is your family & a location.
The images captured are focused on interaction & candid moments of emotions. During the session I will guide you through with some easy prompts and silly questions & requests to get you smiling naturally and enjoying the moments while I snap away. The questionnaire you complete also helps me ensure I get any images that are an absolute must.
I'm worried about how my children will cope?
INCLUDES:
The one thing I can't stress enough is to please not worry about how your babies will behave for the shoot. There is absolutely no pressure on anyone to stand still, pose & smile, it's quite the opposite! I will be the one running after them and working with their needs. Most of the time children end up fascinated with camera lens and the noises it makes but at times they also need a break which is just as fine and gives us a moment to change the combination of whom is in the photo or try a short walk & a quick scenery change.
Other tips . . .
- Bringing snacks and some light refreshments can always help should children need extra incentives or just in general considering the weather, location & time of your session.
- Feel free to bring along their favourite toy or a prop like a basket to collect flowers or shells. Adding items like these can be a nice reminder when you look back.
- Relax! Lastly don't forget to relax and enjoy! I want you & everyone to enjoy the session. Everything about the session is about capturing your family and your love for eachother. Honest family moments documented in between the fun and enjoyment of eachother.
When will my photos be ready?
I try to have a few sneak peak images ready for you within 48hrs or a sneak peak of your gallery on my socials within the first week. Your entire gallery will be ready within 3-4 weeks.
